Taking some liberty with language arts
I just got out of a meeting in which someone used the following words:
snidbits, n. - a ridiculous combination of "tidbits" and "snippets"; and
flustrated, adj. - an even more ridiculous combination of "frustrated" and "flustered"
Made-up word combinations is one of my pet peeves. Someone else at the meeting said, "a couple three" as in maybe two, maybe three. Also a peeve.
But you know, I stayed tuned in the entire meeting, in part so I could continue to silently critique the grammar skills of those around me.
